In a constantly changing industry, our knowledge and depth of experience is our greatest strength. Each Yamco staff member plays an important role in growing and maintaining our industry leading aseptic vegetable & fruit purees, while delivering a superior product to our customers.
Tyler is passionate and driven and has more than a decade of experience working in the food industry. Tyler started his Food career in 2007 working for ConAgra Foods at the Slim Jim plant in Garner NC. After an unfortunate explosion in June of 2009, Tyler helped lead the restoration of the plant which was back up in running in just 47 days. After four years, Brown pursued an opportunity with IBC (Hostess Brands) in Rocky Mount, NC. Heading the sanitation department, Tyler spent the next 2 years in the baking industry refining his sanitation management and food safety skills until moving on to a startup aseptic company Wright Foods located in Troy, NC.
During his time at Wrights, he showed a unique interest in the technology and was quickly promoted into production and eventually plant manager. Tyler helped streamline the commercialization of new patented technology and the commissioning of 2 new aseptic lines and the commercialization of dozens of products. Bringing cutting edge products to the market, the team was awarded back to back Edison Awards in 2015 and 2016 and the 2015 IFT Industrial Achievement Award.
Tyler was brought on with Yamco in April of 2017 for his extensive knowledge of Aseptic microwave processing.
A graduate of the Air Force with two Associate in Applied Science Degrees in Aviation Maintenance Technology and Instructor Of Technology And Military Science. Gussenhofen began his career with the United States Air Force in 1989 as an Electrical/Environmental systems specialist at Bitburg AB Germany, continuing his career to Seymour Johnson AFB North Carolina where he was the lead Electrical Environmental system specialist. His career advancements lead him to become a Technical Training Instructor for new military recruits and the Squadron Safety Manager at Sheppard AFB Texas. Gussenhofen retired with over 21 years of military service after his final tour at McGuire AFB New Jersey as Production Maintenance Manager where he managed dozens of Mission essential aircraft and personnel.After Retiring from the United Air Force in 2010, Gussenhofen started his civilian career with Yamco in Snow Hill North Carolina as the Production manager. He was/is a key element to the company’s growth using a patented aseptic microwave technology to aseptically pack a variety of fruits & Vegetables ingredients.
Paul also managers the distilling and bottling process for Covington Spirits Sweet Potato Vodka
Ashley joined Yamco in 2019 , where she directs both quality assurance and quality control. Ashley has over 10 years in Aseptic experience,
Ashley joined Yamco LLC in February of 2019 from Patheon, Part of ThermoFisher Scientific in Greenville NC, where she held several leadership positions through out the Biological Quality department in the Steriles Manufacturing business unit.
Ashley graduated from Pitt Community College in 2007 with an AAS in Biotechnology.
A veteran of the food industry, with 40 years experience working in all aspects of the industry. Starting his career with Kraft Food Service as a regional manager, working directly with restaurants and chefs across the Mid-South developing menu items and recipes.
Then accepting a position with Bruce Foods and making it his home for 29 years where, for the first 15 years, he developed and managed a broker network and worked directly with major food service distributors, i.e. SYSCO, U.S. FOODSERVICE, Gordon Food Service and many large private label companies across North America, where he managed the sweet potato and assorted vegetable processing segment.
The next 11 years were spent developing and managing the industrial aseptic vegetable processing and the industrial hot sauces division; developing and managing R&D and sales at Bruce Foods. Working directly with research and development chefs and food scientists across the country, playing an essential role in the development of new product lines with major branded companies as well as developing different processing at Bruce Foods.
Four years ago, accepted the challenge to increase awareness and develop new business opportunities at Ham Farm’s further processing divisions of Yamco and Natural Blend Vegetable Dehydration. Working directly with R&D, purchasing and food scientists around the world to develop interest in a variety of aseptic and dehydrated fruit and vegetables.
